NTRIP setup: Emlid Reach (RS3, RS4, RX, RS2+)

You set up Reach receivers with the Emlid Flow app. The easiest way is NTRIP via mobile device. Your phone connects to the Reach over Bluetooth and shares its internet to pull in CorrectionsLive info from a base station about how far off the satellite signals are, so your rover can cancel out the error.More.

Steps

  1. Connect to the Reach in Emlid Flow (Bluetooth is recommended).
  2. Go to the receiver's Correction input screen.
  3. In the NTRIP section pick NTRIP via mobile device (uses your phone's data) or NTRIP via Reach (SIM card or Wi-Fi in the receiver).
  4. Tap Add profile and enter Address (CasterThe internet server that hands out correction streams. Your rover logs in to it, like tuning into a radio station.More), Port (usually 2101), Username, Password and Mount Point from your provider.
  5. Save. Go outside where you can see open sky, and wait for FixThe best RTK status. The receiver has finished its math and your position is good to a couple of centimeters.More.
  6. Compatible Reach models can choose Emlid Corrections instead (1 year included).
Before you start, get five things from your provider: the caster host (server address), PortA number that tells your device which "door" on the caster server to use. For NTRIP it's often 2101.More, username, password and Mount pointOne specific correction stream on a caster, like one channel on a radio. Each one comes from a certain station or network setup.More (the correction channel). What these mean. Find them on each provider page.
